Harris Dining Hall

Harris dining hall is also doing its part to be greener when it went tray-less last year in an effort to reduce the amount of food wasted by students. The fewer trays that are used means there are less trays that need to be washed. Chartwells is also putting into motion Project Clean Plate. Project Clean Plate is a program meant to educate students on taking only as much food as they believe they can consume, thus reducing the amount of food that is wasted. Not only does going tray-less help the environment, it also helps the community. Due to the success of Harris, donations of non-perishable foods to the Hays County Food Bank are being made based on how much food is saved each week.
